Method 515.1 is applicable to the determination of certain chlorinated acids in ground water and finished drinking water. Method 515.2 is a gas chromatographic (GC) method applicable to the determination of chlorinated acids in ground water, and finished drinking water, using liquid-solid extraction, derivation and GC with an electron capture detector. Method 515.3 is a gas chromatographic method applicable to the determination of chlorinated acids in drinking water, ground water, raw source water, and water at any intermediate stage by liquid-liquid extraction, derivatization and gas chromatography with electron capture detection.
EPA Method Series Information
The EPA Method 500 series includes methods and guidelines for drinking water standards designed to identify and quantify organic compounds in municipal drinking water.
The EPA Method 600 series guidelines are typically used in conjunction with the EPA 500 series to provide a comprehensive set of methods for monitoring organic pollutants in wastewater under the United States Clean Water Act.
The EPA Method 8000 series include methods for a wide range of organic compounds, including volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, pesticides, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
