Synthetic Blood

This solution is made according to ASTM methods intended for testing the effectiveness of PPE and protective clothing.

These synthetic blood formulations are prepared according to official methods ASTM F1819-19, ASTM F1670/F1670-17A, ASTM F1862/F1862M-17 and ASTM F2100. 

Synthetic Blood is intended for product testing and have the surface tension and viscosity that is close to human blood. Additionally, the color of the solution is intended to mimic the appearance of genuine human blood.

The formulation can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of materials used in protective clothing. It can also be used to evaluate the absorption capacity of materials that are in contact with human skin for prolonged periods. The formulations are not suitable for medical, intravenous or human use. This is not a blood substitute and is intended for laboratory use only.
