- EC HPLC column (analytical), NUCLEOSIL 100-7 C2, 7 µm, 250x4.6 mm
Dimethyl modified silica phases for HPLC. Non-endcapped phase for RP and ion-pairing chromatography. Retention times are much shorter than for the other RP phases. Separation mechanism based on hydrophobic (van der Waals) interactions; noticeable silanol interactions. Based on the original NUCLEOSIL silica gel. It is one of the first spherical silicas for HPLC and was originally developed by MACHEREY-NAGEL in 1974. It is exclusively manufactured in Germany and is still one of the most used HPLC silicas in quality control around the globe.
