General Information:
Diphacinone is an anticoagulant rodenticide. It has a low aqueous solubiltiy and a low volatility. It is not expected to be persistent in soils but may be in water systems depending on local conditions. Based on its physico-chemical properties, diphacinone is not expected to leach to groundwater. Ecotoxicological data is limited but diphacinone is moderately toxic to fish but less so to birds. This substance has a high mammalian oral toxicity and is an eye irritant.
