General Information:

Bisphenols are chemical compounds that are used in plastics to make a clear and tough product. They are also found in epoxy resins used to line metal food cans. Bisphenol A (known as “BPA” and the most popular of the bisphenols) and Bisphenol S have been shown to be endocrine disruptors. For this reavson, many consumers will look for BPA free plastics. In 2013 the US Food & Drug Administration banned the use of BPA in baby bottles and infant formula packaging.
