Inorganic Ventures 17034 Standards Accreditation

Inorganic Ventures Announces Accreditation to ISO 17034 Standard

Inorganic Ventures has completed its accreditation to ISO 17034:2016, the highest level of quality assurance in the certified reference material (CRM) industry.

This accreditation guarantees that all methods a manufacturer uses to certify its CRMs are validated and proven to be accurate. In short, ISO 17034 is the stamp of approval indicating that the manufacturer’s CRMs are produced correctly and competently.

“Inorganic Ventures has been accredited to ISO 17034 and its predecessors longer than any other inorganic standards manufacturer,” says Chris Gaines, President of Inorganic Ventures. “We take pride in setting a precedent for the rest of the industry.”

Inorganic Ventures was awarded accreditation to ISO 17034:2016 on September 17, 2018, more than a year before it was required to make this transition. Additionally, Inorganic Ventures was accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 on September 17, 2018, more than two years before the required transition date.

“We believe in providing our customers with the best value possible, while ensuring that they get the highest-quality product available on the market,” says Laura Robinson, Marketing Manager for Inorganic Ventures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our methods say we must use ISO 17034 products. Can we still buy from IV?

Yes, you can. Our products still meet or exceed the requirements of ISO 17034 , and now meet the stringent requirements of ISO 17034:2016.

Some of your CoAs still reference ISO 17034 . Are they still OK to use?

Yes, they are. Some of our stock products that were manufactured and certified prior to our accreditation date of September 17, 2018, will still reference ISO 17034 . There may also be a short delay in updating some of our documentation, labels and website, but you can be assured that the products are still produced to the same high standards you have come to expect from IV.

Why should I care that my CRM manufacturer is accredited to ISO 17034?

ISO 17034 guarantees that all methods used by the accredited manufacturer to certify their CRMs are validated and proven to be accurate and that all CRMs are produced correctly and competently. It’s like an insurance policy for the quality of the product.

If a company is accredited to ISO 17034, does that mean that all of its products are manufactured to meet this standard of production?

No. In fact, many of IV’s competitors have a much more limited scope in terms of which products are actually prepared using the validated processes and procedures required to meet ISO 17034:2016 specifications. You should always review your vendor’s scope of accreditation before purchasing your CRMs. IV’s scope of accreditation includes a 31-page list of products, while some of our competitors’ ISO 17034 scopes include a page count in the single digits.
